Los Alamitos Glider Training Squadron 41 is a senior squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, a civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force.  We are based at the Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos California.  Our focus is on training cadets and seniors how to fly gliders.

Current Meeting Schedule:
2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month at 7 pm.  (Pacific Standard Time). We switch to meeting at 8 pm during Daylight Savings Time.
The next meeting will be at 8 pm on 23 April 2019.

Current Flying Schedule:
We fly on Tuesday afternoons, weather permitting.  We will be limited to Tuesday operations until the base reopens the tower on weekends.  We have been told that weekend operations might begin in May.  Tuesday operations begin at 2 PM and end just before sunset.

What to wear:  You must wear some official CAP shirt or uniform.  However you may NOT wear BOOTS.  (You do need covered shoes, no sandals either.)
NO BOOTS IN GLIDERS!

A CAP tee-shirt, jeans and sneakers is fine.  Be sure to bring sunscreen, snacks and head protection.  Be ready to have a good time.
