Los Alamitos Glider Training Squadron 41 is a senior squadron of the Civil Air Patrol.  Based at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, California we specialize in flight training for cadets and seniors in the Civil Air Patrol.

Current Meeting Schedule:
2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month at 8 pm.  (Daylight Savings Time)
The next meeting will be 25 Apr  2017.

Current Flying Schedule:
We are now flying on Sundays and Tuesdays.  Sundays we meet at 9:00 am and fly from 10:00 am to 4 pm.  Tuesdays from 4pm until 15 minutes prior to Sunset.
Because gliders operations require visibility (no fog or low clouds) and saftey, we stop when we can’t see or in high winds or when there is rain or lighting in the vicinity of the airport.  Check our weather page for the forecast.

Tuesday 25 Apr 2017 is NO FLY due to winds.  Our next scheduled flying date will be Sunday 30 Apr 2017..  Check our Flying page to get latest information.

What to wear:  You must wear some official CAP shirt or uniform.  However you may NOT wear BOOTS.  (You do need covered shoes, no sandals either.)
NO BOOTS IN GLIDERS!

A CAP tee-shirt, jeans and sneakers is fine.  Be sure to bring sunscreen, snacks and head protection.  Be ready to have a good time.
