Glider Ops – Sunday 2 April 2017

Weather permitting*; Civil Air Patrol, Los Alamitos Glider Training Squadron 41 will conduct Glider Winch Launch flight operations at JFTB Los Alamitos on Sunday, 2 April 2017.

Glider preparation will start Sunday morning at 10:00 am PDT or earlier, on the ramp just south of the CAP offices located at: 3976 Constitution Avenue, Los Alamitos, CA 90720. Glider Winch Launch flight operations will commence as soon as practical thereafter.

The Last Glider flight of the day must be on the ground by 3:45 PDT, or 15 minutes before the tower closes.

*Weather Permitting: Glider Flight Ops require visibility and safety.  Ops will be cancelled due to low visibility (fog or low clouds); or if winds greater than 20 knots (23 mph) are reported; or if lightning strikes or rain are observed within 10 miles of Los Alamitos JFTB.

Glider Ops – Tuesday 28 March 2017

Weather permitting*; Civil Air Patrol, Los Alamitos Glider Training Squadron 41 will conduct Glider Winch Launch flight operations at JFTB Los Alamitos on Tuesday, 28 March 2017.

Glider preparation will start Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 PDT or earlier, on the ramp just south of the CAP offices located at: 3976 Constitution Avenue, Los Alamitos, CA 90720. Glider Winch Launch flight operations will commence as soon as practical thereafter.

The Last Glider flight of the day must be on the ground by 6:51 pm PDT, or 20 minutes before official sunset. Official sunset will occur about 7:11 pm PTD on Tuesday, 28 March 2017.

*Weather Permitting: Glider Flight Ops require visibility and safety.  Ops will be cancelled due to low visibility (fog or low clouds); or if winds greater than 20 knots (23 mph) are reported; or if lightning strikes or rain are observed within 10 miles of Los Alamitos JFTB.

Glider Ops – Sunday 26 March 2017

Weather permitting*; Civil Air Patrol, Los Alamitos Glider Training Squadron 41 will conduct Glider Winch Launch flight operations at JFTB Los Alamitos on Sunday, 26 March 2017.

SQ 41 will host San Diego Cadet Squadron 144 Glider Orientation, Cadet Power Orientation, and SQ 41 Training Flight activities.

Glider preparation will start Sunday morning at 10:00 am PDT or earlier, on the ramp just south of the CAP offices located at: 3976 Constitution Avenue, Los Alamitos, CA 90720. Glider Winch Launch flight operations will commence as soon as practical thereafter.

SQ 41 will host Nevada Wing Glider Winch Launch Trainees, San Fernando Cadet Squadron 137 Glider Orientation, and SQ 41 Training Flight activities
Glider flight operation preparation will start Sunday morning at 10:00 am PDT, on the ramp just south of the CAP offices located at: 3976 Constitution Avenue, Los Alamitos, CA 90720.
Glider flight operations will commence at 11:00 am PDT, or as soon as practical thereafter.
The Last flight must be on the ground at 3:45 p.m., 15 minutes before Tower closure at 4:00 p.m.

Glider Winch Launch flight operations will commence as soon as practical thereafter.
The Last Glider flight of the day must be on the ground by 6:40 pm PDT, or 20 minutes before official sunset on 14 Mar 2017, which will occur about 7:00 pm PDT.

Civil Air Patrol, Los Alamitos Glider Training Squadron 41, weather permitting, will conduct Glider Winch Launch flight operations at JFTB Los Alamitos on Sunday, 12 March 2017.  SQ 41 will conduct Form 5 Glider and Fullerton Composite Squadron 56 Cadet Glider Orientation, and SQ 41 Training Flight activities.
Glider flight operation preparation will start Sunday morning at 9:00 am PDT, on the ramp just south of the CAP offices located at: 3976 Constitution Avenue, Los Alamitos, CA 90720.
Glider flight operations will commence at 10:00 am PDT, or as soon as practical thereafter.
The Last flight must be on the ground at 3:45 p.m., 15 minutes before Tower closure at 4:00 p.m.

Weather Permitting means: Glider Flt Ops will be cancelled if lightning strikes, or rain, or winds greater than 20 knots (23 mph), are observed within 10 miles of Los Alamitos JFTB.
