Glider Ops – Sunday, 22 September 2019

Weather permitting*; Civil Air Patrol, Los Alamitos Glider Training Squadron 41 will conduct Glider Winch Launch flight operations at JFTB Los Alamitos on Sunday, 22 September 2019.  We will be hosting the Inland Empire Group 3’s flight from Yucaipa for Cadet O-Rides.

Glider preparation will start Sunday morning at 1000 PT or earlier, on the ramp just south of the CAP offices located at: 3976 Constitution Avenue, Los Alamitos, CA 90720.  Glider Winch Launch flight operations will commence as soon as practical thereafter.
The last flight of the day must be on the ground 15 minutes before the tower closes which is 1600 PT.  Official sunset will occur 1849 PT on Sunday, 22 September 2019.

*Weather permitting: Glider Flight Ops require visibility and safety.  Ops will be cancelled due to low visibility (fog or low clouds); or if winds greater than 20 knots (23 mph) are reported; or if lightning strikes or rain are observed within 10 miles of Los Alamitos JFTB.

Glider Ops – Tuesday, 10 September 2019

Weather permitting*; Civil Air Patrol, Los Alamitos Glider Training Squadron 41 will conduct Glider Winch Launch flight operations at JFTB Los Alamitos on Tuesday, 10 September 2019.

Glider preparation will start Tuesday afternoon at 1400 PT or earlier, on the ramp just south of the CAP offices located at: 3976 Constitution Avenue, Los Alamitos, CA 90720.  Glider Winch Launch flight operations will commence as soon as practical thereafter.
The last cadet flight of the day must be on the ground 30 minutes before sunset which is 1846 PT.  Official sunset will occur 1906 PT on Tuesday, 10 September 2019.

Glider preparation will start Sunday morning at 1000 PT or earlier, on the ramp just south of the CAP offices located at: 3976 Constitution Avenue, Los Alamitos, CA 90720.  Glider Winch Launch flight operations will commence as soon as practical thereafter.  We will be hosting San Diego Cadet Squadron 144 for O-Rides.
The last flight of the day must be on the ground 15 minutes before the tower closes which is 1600 PT.  Official sunset will occur 1909 PT on Sunday, 8 September 2019.
