Glider Ops – Sunday, 26 January 2020

Weather permitting*; Civil Air Patrol, Los Alamitos Glider Training Squadron 41 will conduct Glider Aerotow Launch flight operations at JFTB Los Alamitos on Sunday, 26 January 2020

Glider preparation will start Sunday morning at 0930 PT or earlier, on the ramp just south of the CAP offices located at: 3976 Constitution Avenue, Los Alamitos, CA 90720.  Glider Winch Launch flight operations will commence as soon as practical thereafter.
The last flight of the day must be on the ground 15 minutes before the tower closes which is 1445 PTThe Tower now closes at 1500 on Sundays.

*Weather permitting: Glider Flight Ops require visibility and safety.  Ops will be cancelled due to low visibility (fog or low clouds); or if winds greater than 20 knots (23 mph) are reported; or if lightning strikes or rain are observed within 10 miles of Los Alamitos JFTB.

Glider preparation will start Tuesday afternoon at 1400 PT or earlier, on the ramp just south of the CAP offices located at: 3976 Constitution Avenue, Los Alamitos, CA 90720.  Glider Winch Launch flight operations will commence as soon as practical thereafter.
The last cadet flight of the day must be on the ground 30 minutes before sunset which is 1650 PT.  Official sunset will occur 1720 PT on Tuesday, 28 January 2020.

Glider preparation for N7589 & N2037T will start Sunday at 10 am PT, on the ramp just south of the CAP offices located at: 3976 Constitution Avenue, Los Alamitos, CA 90720.  Glider Aerotow Launch flight operations will commence as soon as practical thereafter.
